Volunteer of the Month - Feb.  Our Volunteer of the month for February is "Jody". She is currently the person that goes over all incoming applications and does the vet checks, and landlord checks and takes many of the pictures we have on our website. Jody is our "first" volunteer and has been with us for quite a few years now. Above is a picture of Snoopy, one of our former dogs in need that now lives like a king with Jody. When Jody isn't at the rescue, she's busy running her own business, and spending time with her husband, children, three dogs and her cats. Volunteer of the Month - March
Our volunteer for the month of March is "Ann". Ann can be seen at the rescue almost every day. She and her boys help take the dogs for walks and socialize the cats. She also helps feed and cleans up after the cats she's working with. Besides this, Ann also takes a puppy or two out for the day, and as daycare mom, she helps to socialize and teach them about life in a house and all about people in general. She doesn't just stop there....Ann has also fostered cats until they were adopted. In between she may also offer to take a run to the vets to get someone spayed, or to pick them up. Ann and her boys go above and beyond by giving physical help during the week and after school. Ann, we thank you and your boys from the bottom of our hearts! Volunteer of the Month - April The next volunteer to whom we tip our hat is "Gail". Gail, a high school student, started volunteering one day a week over a year ago. Rain or shine, she is ready to come walk and play with the dogs at the rescue. If she was busy Saturday, she'd come on Sunday. If she was busy Sunday, then she would be there on Saturday. Gail doesn't care that she might get dirty from the critters that climb into her lap, or run and play ball with her. She is there to spend her time with "them". And "they" in turn are happy to see her. We thank you for all the critters that benefit from your care. Volunteer of the Month - May For the month of May we salute, "Gail" owner of the Prince and the Pawper. Although Gail doesn't come out to the rescue, she supplies us with a location to do our monthly outreaches. We meet at her store, and she makes sure all the dogs are happy and supplied with treats and bowls of water. Thank you Gail, for bringing our available dogs out to meet the public. If you'd like to meet Gail, stop by the Prince and the Pawper in Cobblestone Village and say Hi. We are generally there the 4th sat. of every month with some of our animals. Volunteer of the Month - June June bring's us to one of our special volunteers "Kathy Gurney". Kathy started volunteering last Oct. and comes every sunday evening to help walk the dogs. During this time she also met and fell in love with "Pepe" whom she adopted. Kathy is moving shortly, and will be missed by all of her canine and human friends. Wag On Inn wishes her well as her new journey begins. Volunteer of the Month - July "Justin" is our volunteer for the month of July. He helps out at the rescue during the summer and goes to outreaches. He is also the "chaufeur" helping to bring dogs where they have to go and coming along on transports to pick up dogs from other states. Justin is always there to offer his help. Volunteer of the Month - August "Dylan", is our volunteer for August. He is our graphic artist and designs cards, flyers and is always willing to help come up with creative ways to help the rescue. He also comes to help out at the rescue and is at the outreaches tohelp with the animals. His creative skills are a big help to us. When it comes to design, we can count on Dylan for input. One would never believe he is still a teenager. Volunteer of the Month - September "Stephanie" is our special volunteer for the month of September. Stephanie has been a lot of help over the year. She has walked dogs. Fostered. Helped with outreaches, including one she helped organize at her job. She has even adopted from us. Stephanie is always willing to help out however she can. We are so happy to be able to call her a friend. We are also grateful to her husband for being so supportive. Volunteer of the Month - October "Patty" is our special volunteer for the month of October. With her nursing background, she is our "special needs" foster home. She helps care for sick animals in her home and nurses them back to health. Be it medication or physical therapy or just extra feedings, she is willing to give them all her time, sometimes staying up with them all night. She also drives all over NJ to pick up dogs that are in need of a home and delivers them to their foster home. Patty's children also help out and give time, attention and care to the animals in need. Volunteer of the Month - November "Josh" is our volunteer for the month of November. He helped pull a puppy through it's illness and helped save his life. He helped his mom, Patty, keep the little guy hydrated and eating and coaxed him back to health. The pup is now adopted and living in his forever happy home. This wouldn't be possible if it wasn't for Josh. Volunteer of the Month - December "Amy" is our volunteer for the month of December. A daughter of Patty, she also helps out with the dogs. Besides helping with them, Amy also has helped us at our first fundraiser by making beautiful jewelry, and selling them, with a portion of the money going to Wag On Inn. This is one tallented young lady. |
